Weathering

Magnificent landscapes make great images, but I prefer a more playful approach to photography. While out walking in towns and cities, I enjoy looking for mini compositions in the way moss is creeping over stone or woodworm have burrowed in an old wooden door. Old weathered walls and doors seduce me with their faded beauty, while the most fascinating patterns can be found in the traces left from the notices torn from a notice board or the footprints of dogs running along a beach in winter.

These photos are printed on Hahnemühle William Turner watercolour paper, which has a gorgeous texture perfectly suited to this subject matter.
