In this photographic project, I focussed on a row of beech trees, bleached white by the sun and reflected in the lakes of Tervuren Park, Belgium, right next to my home. Over two years, I took photographs of the reflections as they changed with the weather and seasons. Each time I visited, the reflections were different: sometimes they were ruffled by wind; sometimes lily pads stretched across them; in autumn, the reflections turned a deep russet brown; and in winter they might be broken up by a sheet of ice.
I present these photographs under acrylic glass, which accentuates the depth and reflective nature of the water. This presentation is simple and modern. There is no frame, which allows all attention to go to the photo itself. The photos make a perfect gift and are a beautiful addition to any home. Click on a photo for size options and prices.
